Deposition of Debt filed in the Court of Bankruptcy by Auctioneer George Henry Christie against fellow auctioneers Samuel and Samuel Leigh Sotheby on 3 December 1836. extract.

Christie alleging an unpaid debt of £31 17s. He received a dividend of £3 3s 8d on 6 April 1837 when the assets of the joint bankrupts were distributed among their creditors. Altogether the pair had total joint debts of £6,139 6s 5d, and Samuel had separate debts amounting to £2,767 16s 1d.
