The wills of warrant officers and seamen who died in service from 1786 to 1848 can be found in ADM 48. Surname indexes to these wills are in ADM 142. Certificates of next of kin seeking letters of administration can be found in HCA 30/455-458 for the period 1795 to 1807. Miscellaneous registers of probates and administrations from 1836 to 1915 can be found in PMG 50, with other powers of attorney in PMG 51. Wills of naval officers and ratings may also be found proved in the Prerogative Court of Canterbury up to 1858.
