Names of settlers to New Zealand can be traced in CO 209, New Zealand Original Correspondence from 1830 to 1922. Records of the New Zealand Company, which was set up to buy, settle and cultivate land in New Zealand, are in CO 208. This series also contains records of passengers emigrating between 1839 and 1850 in CO 208/269-272, applications for free passage in CO 208/273-274, applications for land and lists of landowners, agents, surveyors etc in CO 208/254-255.
