Courts martial

Records of courts martial can be found in the main Admiralty correspondence in ADM 1, referenced by the indexes and digests in ADM 12. For the period from 1755 to 1806 alphabetical analyses and indexes may be found in ADM 12/21-28. Records of courts martial from 1911 to 1954 are in series ADM 156, some of which are not yet open to public inspection.
