Courts martial

Policy papers relating to courts martial will be found in AIR 2, Series A, Code 21 and Series B, Code 28. Judge Advocate General´s Office records relating to district, general and field general courts martial proceedings are in AIR 18 covering 1941 to 1994. Registers of courts martial are in AIR 21 covering the period 1918 to 1965. Charge books covering 1918 to 1948 in AIR 43 give details of offence, place of trial and sentence, if found guilty.
