Kindertransport: Britain's rescue plan
Tuesday 24 November
14:00 - 15:00
The Wiener Library holds many personal accounts of children evacuated from Nazi Germany, Austria and Czechoslovakia between December 1938 and September 1939. Using individual first-hand accounts sourced from The Wiener Library and documents held at The National Archives, this talk will give an insight into how Britain dealt with the refugee children that arrived on the Kindertransports and the difficulties they themselves faced.
Ela Kaczmarska has 21 years of teaching experience and works as an Education Officer at The National Archives. She is currently studying for an MA in Holocaust Studies.
This is a free event. Tickets will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis on the day and cannot be booked in advance.
You can listen to previous talks given at The National Archives on our podcast page.
