Family history sources at The National Archives

This talk will provide an introduction to the main sources for family history research available at Kew.

Mark Pearsall is The National Archives' family history specialist and works in the Records Knowledge team of the Advice and Records Knowledge Department. He has worked in several departments of The National Archives over the years and has contributed articles to a number of family and local history publications. He is the author of The National Archives's Family History Companion and co-authored the The National Archives Guides to Immigrants and Aliens and Family History on the Move and has also produced transcriptions and finding aids for various record series.

This is a free event. Tickets will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis on the day and cannot be booked in advance.
