Census returns online

How to get the most out of the main websites offering access to census returns online. This talk will look at a number of search techniques such as using wildcards and will aim to demonstrate how, when it comes to searching online databases, less is always more.

Dave Annal works for The National Archives in the Advice and Records Knowledge Team and formerly worked at the Family Records Centre. Prior to this he was a professional family history researcher. He has written a number of books and articles on family history sources and is the author of Easy Family History, which was published by The National Archives in October 2005.
