An introduction to using and understanding family history's most popular records. A census return of the whole of England and Wales has been taken every ten years since 1801 and, since 1841, details of every individual living in the country have been recorded.

This talk will look at how to access The National Archives collection of returns from 1841 to 1911, and will demonstrate how to make the most of the various online census websites.

Audrey Collins worked as a freelance researcher for 15 years before joining The National Archives in 2002.
