Business change and training
Business change was a key element of this programme. In order to successfully introduce the automated processes into mainstream business functions, The National Archives need to carefully analyse, design and plan for operational business change to support the new systems. Business change affected many areas of our current operations and also how we work with Departments in the accessioning and transfer of born digital archive records.
Project status July 2008
The project produced procedure guidelines for the transfer of electronic records incorporating feedback received from members of the Seamless Flow Advisory group; and has updated the redaction guidelines. The project worked closely with the original six departments during the initial roll out phase earlier this year.
With the completion of all key deliverables, the End Project Report was approved and the project has been closed.
The strategy paper, 'Transition to Business as Usual', was approved by the Programme Board. The recommended working groups,Technology and Business Continuity, have been established to ensure a smooth transition to business as usual at The National Archives.
