Student visits
You must book if you'd like to bring a school group to The National Archives at Kew. This is because we can only accommodate a set number of groups per day. We can take a maximum of 35 students per group.
Workshops
Our history workshops for schools are very popular and need to be booked well in advance.
Sessions are available either on site at The National Archives or by videoconference or online in our virtual classroom. Qualified teachers or professional historical interpreters deliver workshops. Most sessions are available free of charge.
Workshops are available for pupils of all ages and abilities, and are designed to tie in with the requirements of the history National Curriculum and examination board specifications.
For more information about workshops, and how to book, go to our workshop pages.
