Focus On Domesday can be used with key stage 3 pupils in year 7. It can form part of a study of the impact of the Norman Conquest and on the structure of medieval society.
The current national curriculum programme of study for history at key stage 3 has been disapplied with effect from 1 September 2013 and is no longer statutory. This means that schools are free to develop their own curricula for history that best meet the needs of their pupils, in preparation for the introduction of the new national curriculum from September 2014
