DL41/1163; this is a notice
calling a meeting in Salford in 1790 to deal with the rise in crime.
The meeting was held and agreed to raise money to set up a system
of local police and runners.
As you read these sources look for:
Is crime increasing or decreasing?
Is it the same picture in all cases?
In Source 1, note which years are involved. Is this source enough
to allow us to say something about the years 1750-1900?
