This is one of the rare designs in the Gallery where the designer is actually named. The paper on which this and all other Belleek (and many Worcester Royal Porcelain Company) designs in the Gallery were drawn is a high quality tracing paper produced by a company in Manchester whose details are printed on the document with the words 'By Her Majestys Royal Letters Patent The Vellum Tracing Cloth Sagars Patent Broughton Works Nr Manchester' accompanied by a royal arms mark.
