This commemorative design celebrates the wedding of the King and Queen of Greece This seems to be an example of a UK based 'agent' acting as an intermediary between the pottery trade in Britain and overseas retailers. This design is particularly interesting as it was registered on behalf of a retailer/agent, NI Poulou, of Smyrna, the Turkish Aegean port Izmir. See also designs 216450 and 227668.
