Poor Law Union Records: 4. Gazetteer of England and Wales - 2nd Edition

This gazetteer supplements parts 1-3 in the Poor Law Union Record series. This mid-1830's creation of Unions was utilized countrywide as the basis of districts both for the civil registration of births, marriages and deaths from 1837 on and for 1841 and subsequent censuses. This Gazetter can therefore be used for identification of the places making up these, as well as the Poor Law Unions themselves.
