prevailing winds being exactly opposite in Summer and Winter should be attended to - the site selected offers this advantage to the fullest extent being between two bays with opposite exposures - and each shore at a very short distance from the centre of the buildings - The Jetty which would generally be in smooth water during the Summer was first put in hand but this will very frequently be quite inaccessible during the Winter - while at this time the north east bay where the second Jetty was to be placed will be quite smooth - I shall feel obliged therefore if you will authorise me to have this one proceeded with so that it may be complete before the South and South West winds begin to blow.
