Part of the service record of Private Adrian Verner, of the 12th Battalion, York and Lancaster Regiment. He enlisted on the same day as his younger brother, Richard Henry Verner. They campaigned and were killed together, on 1 July 1916, the first day of the Battle of the Somme.
