- The duties of the ITC was taken over by Ofcom, the Office of Communications in 2003.
As far as we are aware the ITC Archive (which includes holds the administrative records of the Independent Broadcasting Authority, formerly known as the Independent Television Authority (1954-1990), Cable Authority (1984-1990) and the ITC (1991-2003)) was transferred to Ofcom. Some of the records can be accessed on Ofcom's website.
