Browsing by region or country

The home page provides an opportunity to search for repositories by a geographical region in two ways:

• A list of regions can be found on the left hand side of the screen and by clicking on a named region, such as North East, a list of repositories arranged alphabetically will appear on the screen. You can then browse through the repositories, which are listed alphabetically. Click on a relevant repository, for example, Durham County Record Office, to display their contact and access details.
• You can also click on an area of the map located on the left hand side of the home page screen that will display a list of repositories in that region again arranged alphabetically.

Overseas repositories can be searched by clicking on List of overseas repositories on the right hand side of your screen. A list of countries arranged alphabetically is retrieved and you can click on the country that you are interested in and this will retrieve a list of repositories in that country.
