Disability Discrimination Act
The Disability Discrimination Act (DDA)
came into force in 1995 and was updated in 2005. The DDA requires all private and public sector bodies including archives to conform to its recommendations.
The Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) addresses physical access to buildings and requires reasonable adjustments to be made to services to accommodate people with disabilities. The DDA also ensures that services are made available to all people in society regardless of ability and that all employees are given equal opportunities in the work place.
