Caring for archives

In this section we bring together advice and guidance on some of the main concerns and issues of caring for records. Primarily it will be of use to archivists and custodians of records but it is a point of reference for all those who own or care for records.  Further information for individuals and organisations that care for their own records is in Advice to private owners.

The National Advisory Services is able to draw on the expertise of its colleagues in the National Archives in areas such as conservation and digital preservation to give comprehensive advice on the full range of issues affecting archives.
