Cataloguing grants programme

The Pilgrim Trust, with the support of The National Archives, commissioned a wide-ranging review of the National Cataloguing Grants Programme for Archives in 2016.

This review demonstrated the remarkable impact that the scheme has had in opening up access to archives throughout the UK and confirmed that the need for funding for cataloguing remains strong throughout the sector.

The review also pointed to key areas of the programme that could be strengthened to provide greater benefit for both archives and archive users. We are therefore in the process of reviewing the recommendations of the scheme and determining the impact that these will have on the Programme.

We will be open for applications in Autumn 2017.

This website will be regularly updated as soon as more information becomes available.

The 2016 round is now closed.
