Seamless Flow Programme board

The Programme board oversees a number of projects intended as far as possible to ensure a secure, managed, seamless, automated flow of electronic records from creation in government departments through their eventual preservation at The National Archives and delivery to the public over the Internet.

Over the next few years, The National Archives will gradually move from being a paper repository to an electronic one. This change will happen as government departments adopt EDRM (Electronic Document Record Management) systems as a result of the government´s 2004 target for implementing such systems and the more general adoption of IT systems in government as a result of the 2005 target for electronic service delivery.

The Programme board is chaired by the Director of Collections and Technology and, until January 2007, met quarterly. The Board now meets monthly to review project progress and every quarter to review key deliverables, costs and overall programme progress.
