Title: Historic FOI requests from 2011 to 2014
FOI request reference: F0047103
Response sent: October 2016
Hi It is possible to acess your records of FOI requestes from 2011, as far back as I can see on your website is 2014.
Thank you for your recent Freedom of Information request relating to the possibility of obtaining from The National Archives information requests and their responses from 2011. I have spoken with my colleagues in The National Archives web design team. The responses you are interested in are archived on-line at the link below. The current location of these archived responses is perhaps not as accessible as they might be and I have raised the possibility of editing our current Transparency Pages to increase their visibility. I apologies for any delay or inconvenience this may have caused you.
I should, however, like to note that the responses to information requests made freely available by The National Archives relate to what we refer to as Corporate Requests; information we The National Archives generate. A much larger proportion of our Freedom of Information work relates to the assessment and access to records which have been transferred to The National Archives by various government departments for secure deposit. These types of information requests, on average, amount to well over 2500 requests a year. Therefore, as you might imagine, it would be impractical for us to publish this volume of responses. It may, therefore, be possible to supply, should you wish to receive, a short abridged version of these types of requests; for example a single months’ worth of requests and their corresponding responses. Should this be of interest to you then please feel free to contact me again. However, as stated, it will not be possible to supply all responses from 2011 for record access requests and any timeframe you might be interested in should be limited.
In any event I have taken the links below as an answer to this specific information request and closed the enquiry within our records.
2015-2016 (the backlog of 2015 & 2016 results will be published shortly)
I trust this information is of some use to you and I wish you all the best with your research.
