Disruption to our services

As part of our improvement programme for Kew, we are undertaking critical building work. There will be significantly reduced seating capacity as well as noise and disruption to our services until May 2008. You may wish to avoid coming to Kew on Tuesdays or Thursdays, as these are our busiest days. Or, even to delay planning your visit until the work has been completed.

We apologise in advance for any inconvenience that these essential building works may cause you.

Latest news commencing 31 March 2008

For the next two weeks our services are affected as follows.

Service Disruption

Significantly reduced seating capacity

There is significantly reduced seating capacity in the original document reading room until late April 2008. Any visitors wishing to look at original documents in the reading rooms will be admitted on a first come, first served basis during this period. We regret that you may have to wait before you can look at any original documents. You may even be unable to look at any original documents on the day that you visit us.
