Thomas Wyger and Christine his wife

 

Land in Hassok', with all its appurtenances, to hold for their lives. And after their deaths, the land to go to Thomas their son and his legitimate male heirs, holding of the chief lords of the fee. And if said Thomas dies without such heirs, the land to go to John his brother; and if he [in document 'Thomas' is repeated, but presumably a mistake for 'John'] dies without male heirs, then the land to go to the foresaid Thomas Wyger and his heirs or assigns for ever.

 

Clause of warranty.

 

Witnesses: William Lynor, John de Scatforde, John de Churyton, Robert de Wotton, John de Godeton.

 

Date: Hassok', Monday next after the feast of the Circumcision of the Lord, 17 Edward III.
