Charter of Feoffment Alexander de Ovese to Oliver de Tracy All his land of Litlecote and of Sutlitlecot' with all appurtenances; to hold to him and his heirs and assigns for ever. And Alexander grants that Oliver shall be able to hold the said land of whomsoever he wills and do homage to whom he wills. Witnesses: Sir Henry de Tracy, Sir William de Raleg', Sir Philip de Bellomonte, Philip Talebot, Ralph de Esse, William Fitz Warin, William Favel, Ralph de Siccavilla, Henry de Campo Arnulphi, William de Wanford, Robert de [C?]ruher, Thomas Daggl', Roger the chaplain de Castro Barn'. No date. Seal missing. Litlecote and Sutlitlecote have not been identified; the above approximate date, and parish, have been suggested because several of the names are the same as, or similar to, those in a deed of 1253, relating to Mortehoe (see 50/11/29/4). |
