Quitclaim Nicol de Tukesbyri, clerk -to- Sir Gilbert Fitz Esteven, and John de Stonford All actions and claims which he might have against them by reason of a statute merchant of £600 made to him at Suthampton' by the said Sir Gilbert, 13 February, 5 Edward III [1331]. And also releases to John de Stonford all actions and claims which he might have by any statute merchant or for any other reason against all the lands and tenements in Wullecombe Tracy [in Mortehoe], Bremelerigh' [in South Molton], or anywhere else in Devonshire, which ever belonged to Sir John Tracy. And also he binds himself to acquit the said John from all damage which might happen to him by reason of any statute or any other contract made by the said Sir Gilbert and Nicol or anyone else before the time when the said John had possession of the aforesaid lands Witnesses: Sir John de Stonore, Sir Roger de Depham, Sir Henry de Harnhull', Sir Benet de Fulsham and Walter Turkes Date: London, the Friday next before Pentecost, in the 15th year of Edward III Seal: round, red, seal of Nicol, impression too faint to see.
