Inquisition Post Mortem

 

Taken on the death of John Chichester, late of Arlington, esq., who was seised of and in the manor of Wollacombe, alias Wollacombe Tracie, and the manor of Arlington, and a messuage in Churchill, in East Down, and 2 messuages, etc. in Bratton Fleming, and lands in Shattesborrowe, in Moorthoe; John Chichester died 11th May, 20 Charles I, and his heir was John Chichester, aged 11 years, 6 months, and 11 days

 

Several lines of writing have been erased, and the document is torn in places; also the day and month of the Inquisition have not been filled in, nor names of jurors, etc.
