Inventory of household effects of Robert Dudley, Earl of Leicester, at Wanstead co. Essex, noted (f.2) as "perused" 24 Feb. 1584[5], with additions, ending with a note (f.33) that "the charge and custody of all her honours [Lettice, Countess of Leicester, widow of the Earl] howshold stuff at Wensted" was committed to William Witheredge, 15 Nov. 1588. On f.4 is a list of tapestry "in the Queens beddchamber". The "Bookes" (f.31) comprise a Bible, 12 Psalters (three "with ye beare and ragged staffe on ye covers", and five "with my Lo. armes within the Garter on ye covers"), a "Service booke", and Foxe's "Actes and Monumentes". Of the 60 Pictures (f.32) the great majority are portraits, many representing foreign sovereigns and noblemen. At the end of the list (f.33) is "a map of St Frances Drakes viage". Folio; ff.34.
