Title: | KEA (CORNW.) |
Held by: | Berkeley Castle Muniments, not available at The National Archives |
Language: | English |
Administrative / biographical background: |
The documents are all labelled 'Landege' (or 'Lansege'), the ancient name for Kea, near Truro, although the manor clearly comprised lands in various places. That the courts of 1460-1 were held in the name of the feoffees of Joan widow of Robert Veer and Sir Nicholas Carew may suggest that the manor was a possession of the early Careys. |
