Blagdon was part of the Martin inheritance which passed to James Lord Audley (d. 1386), half in 1326 on the death without issue of his uncle William Lord Martin and half in 1342 on the death of his aunt Eleanor, William's sister and the other coheir, who had married Philip Lord Columbers.[GEC viii. 538.] Blagdon does not seem to have been held by James's son Nicholas at his death in 1391 and may have passed to the Ormonds[CIPM xvi, no. 1062.] It was forfeited in 1461.[CPR 1461-7, 104-5.] |
