Title: PICKWELL WITH LEESTHORPE (LEICS.)
Held by: Berkeley Castle Muniments, not available at The National Archives
Language: English
Administrative / biographical background:

The holding was one of those granted to the young John de Segrave in 1334 before the official end of his minority, and by Dec. 1343 it was held for life by his younger brother Stephen, the reversion being included in the grant of that date. On both those occasions it was associated with Cold Overton, but it was not included in the regrant to John and Margaret of Sept. 1344. It presumably passed in 1353 straight to John de Mowbray, who in 1364 allowed it to be granted to the chantry at Manton (Rutland): BCM/D/5/37/4 [GC 3556].
