Penn was the family's principal holding in Buckinghamshire and appears in most of the inquisitions and settlements until the end of the 15th century, sometimes as Segrave in Penn. Stephen de Segrave made a sustained effort to acquire all the portions of the Turville holding, as well as other holdings, and there are several other references to the manor in the Segrave Cartulary.
