The charter below is located by the Segrave Cartulary, which records Philip Vitdeners as granting to Stephen all his land called Lefhurst in the parish of Lambeth, paying rents of 7s. 2d. to the archbishop of Canterbury and 2s. 10d. to William Norens. [BL Harl. MS 4748, f. 30.] Lambeth is not mentioned later in the muniments by name but may be referred to in Jan. 1333 when John Germy granted lands in Surrey to John de Segrave and Sir William Giffard: above, BCM/D/5/1/4 [GC 2761].
