By Agnes, widow of John Mauleverer, kt., to John Vavasour, her son, of the manor of Neuton and of all her lands and tenements in Bayldon, Askwyth, Northwod in Weston, Burley, Haukesworth, Menston, Castlay, Byrthwayt near Riplay and Lethelay and all other property that ought to descend to the said John on the death of Agnes, paying to her £16 p.a. and to James Vavasour 8s p.a. unless he has a life tenancy of the Lethelay property. Covenants that Agnes shall have 2 rooms at Neuton for life and a fire in them at all reasonable times and sufficient candles the said Agnes paying £6 p.a. for her food and drink; she shall also receive 24 fattened sheep (oves vel multones depastentes) kept in the pastures of Newton; John Vavasour to give his bond in £100.
