To Robert de Stopham in all his demesne lands of Neweton and Weston provided that they are outside the boundaries of the royal forest with a penalty of £10 payable to the king by trespassers. Witnesses: Walter (Cantilupe), bishop of Worcester; William (of York), bishop of Salisbury; Richard (Wich), bishop of Chichester; William de Valence, the king's half-brother; John Mansell, provost of Beverley; Ralph the son of Nicholas; Master William de Kilkenny, archdeacon of Coventry; Bertram de Cryoll; John de Grey; Robert Walerand; Ralph de Haya; Roger de Lokinton. At Westminster. Great Seal on silk cords: edges chipped, cracked across the centre. |
