Title: Beauchief muniments
Description:

The Pegge-Burnels inherited the Beauchief Abbey estates from the Strelleys, who obtained the property at the Dissolution, but practically nothing of pre-Reformation days remains. The muniments also include those of the Steades of Onesacre, one of whom inherited the Beauchief estates and took the name of Pegge-Burnell. Other families represented are Creswick of Burrowlee, Smith of Dunston, Milnes and Mower, from all of whom estates were inherited by marriage. Records including:

Cardlehay (Hartington): Evidence re rights of pasture, 17th century.
