The records relate mainly to Conisbrough, Yorkshire, and the Eckington district of Derbyshire. (Deposited 1961 and 1962). Including:

 

Conisbrough Church: Copies of terriers and glebe surveys, 1716-1751, 1817; tithe rentals 1802-1850; rebuilding subscription list, c.1850; notes on Saxton, Darrell and Howson charities and copies of wills.

 

Walker family of Priory House, Conisborough. Deeds to property in Conisbrough (mainly copyhold), Hexthorpe, Arksey, Barnborough and Harlington, Yorkshire, mainly 18th and 19th centuries.

 

Staniforth family of Eckington, Beighton, Hackenthorpe and Mosbrough Hill. Deeds for same places from 1631, including orders re Mosbrough charity school 1882-1884 and covenant about trading in knives in Ireland (Staniforth and Hutton) 1843; copy of Eckington enclosure award. Other family deeds: etc. J. C. Royston (Codnor Park and Brinsley, including collieries, with abstracts of title 1624-1860). James Fidler of Eckington, builder (farm accounts for Marsh farm 1917-1923 and building accounts of James Fidler Ltd., Sheffield 1921-1922). J T Heywood of Brimington (Brimington, including Dixon's Wharf, 1741-1877).

 

J. Harwood (Plumley Hall Farm, 1760-1926).

 

Farfield and Hall Carr Land Societies (Title deeds and sales). Other families include Swallow, Roberts, Le Tall.
