Typescript of Freshfield's book "Life of de Saussure" (Edward Arnold, 1920), heavily corrected, probably by his collaborator, Henry Montagnier. Montagnier had collected much of the original source material during his sojourn in Switzerland during WWI. Bound into three volumes. The third volume includes a loose typed list of Montagnier's Swiss sources (2 pp.).
