Description:

Narrative of An Ascent to the Summit of Mont Blanc made during the Summer of 1827 by Mr William Hawes and Mr Charles Fellows", compiled from Hawes' account by his brother, Benjamin Hawes, Junior. Includes 8 plates, a facsimile of the certificate of ascent and the ORIGINAL certificate tipped in between pp 32-33, and an original note written by Hawes on the summit, tipped in between pp20-21.
