Letters from Alfred Wills to his family in England, while on holiday in the Alps. Recipients include his mother, his first wife Lucy (Martineau), and his daughter Edith. There are also letters from S. Wills (? a brother), and from Lucy in Chamonix to her mother-in-law and daughter. The final letter is a copy of a letter Wills sent to the Saturday Review in response to an article on "The Theory of Glaciers" that had been published in 1859.
