Custodial history:

1922/C24- C39 plus 1922/D1/1-4 comprise 20 diaries and notebooks given by Davidson to J.P. Farrar, and later by Farrar to the AC. Farrar lent the diaries to G.W. Young while they were still in his possession. Both men were criticised in the diaries by Davidson, and both refuted the accusations; Farrar in particular, by adding a signed memorandum at the appropriate point in Davidson's narrative. A two-page critique of the diaries, by Young, can be found with 1922/C24A.
