Notebook containing comments made by climbers on expeditions in which Zumtaugwalder was employed as a guide. The main volume is an official book issued by the Swiss authorities in 1858, with front pages containing rules, tariffs, etc. However a series of pages from an earlier notebook have been tipped into the front of the blank pages, and a loose page from another notebook includes an entry from 1864. Two business cards, for Zumtaugwalder and Paul Chenevard were found in the pocket at the back of the volume. Dates: August 1852 - August 1867.
