Immediate source of acquisition:

Donated to the AC by Miss Ida Watson, the great niece of John Auldjo, in 1954. The material had been stored by her mother on behalf of Miss Florence Auldjo, John's daughter, but as both Miss Auldjo and Miss Watson's mother were dead, and Miss Watson wished to clear out her attic, the papers, some books, and a painting of John Auldjo as a young man, were offered to the AC as a last resort. Miss Watson's correspondence with T.S. Blakeney is included in 1922/B5.
