Letters to, and ephemera collected by Andreas Fischer and his family. Andreas was the brother of Johann Fischer who died in the Caucasus in 1888 on the Donkin-Fox expedition. Correspondents include Clinton Dent, Douglas Freshfield and Hermann Woolley, whom Fischer accompanied in 1889 on an expedition back to the Caucasus to discover what had happened to the 1888 expedition.
