Grant by Fulke Bellars of Athe, co. Kildare, brother and heir of William Bellars who was son and heir of Fulke Bellars late of Athe, deceased and Elizabeth his wife, Edward Beale of Banbury, co. Oxon., shoemaker and Alice his wife, mother of the said Fulke Bellars party to these presents to Fulke Whateley of Henley-in-Arden, yeoman, of four tenements in Henley-in-Arden now or late in the occupation of Edward Biggs, Thomas Postans, Thomas Fulwood, William Price - a close of pasture called Farther New Closs, containing twenty acres, a close called New Close otherwise Wad Closs, containing nine acres, a close called Gurrie Croft and ten ridges of arable land adjoining Wad Closs and five acres adjoining to land of Abram Timmins called Windmill Hill and five little ridges of arable land called the Butts lying near the Bridge called Fullers Horse Bridge all lying in Henley-in-Arden, Wootton Wawen and Whitby and in the occupation of Richard Whateley, etc.

 

Warranty against (among others) Simon Bellars, grandfather of the said Fulke, party to presents. Timothy Harris of Banbury appointed attorney to deliver possession.

 

Witnesses: William Hawtayne, George Warde, Timothy Harris, William Haynes, Thomas Tustian, John Clarke, Edward Welchman, Richard French.
