Release from John de Clopton, son and heir of James de Cloptone to Walter de Cokefeld, called Marshal, lord of Cloptone, for 100 shillings of a virgate of land in Cloptone and Cloptonegrove which Johanna, sister of the said James, held for her life, together with a croft called Blindecroft, a half-virgate called Hemerieslond and a messuage and croft in the Grave formerly held by Richard Warner, and together also with all claim to pasturage for four beasts. Witnesses: Sir Robert de Val, Knt., William Purcel, Roger de Wotton, clerk, William his brother and Hugh de Clintone. Undated. |
