Extract from the Court Roll of the Manor of Tardebigg, recording that at a court of Other [Windsor], Earl of Plymouth, Lord of the same, James Mence and William Dunn, by virtue of a Power of Attorney from John Wright of Mansfield, co. Notts., saddler, surrendered all his customary lands, etc. in Tardebigg, late in the tenure of Isaac Parkes and belonging to Jane Sheldon, widow, which at the death of the said Jane descended to her four daughters and coheirs, one of whom was the mother of the said John Wright; such surrender being to the use of William Bell of Bittell, co. Worc., esq., who was accordingly admitted tenant.
